I for one can not see how Arsene Wenger can defend the ban Uefa have issued to Eduardo, it is about time these cheating antics were punished, lets hope the FA follow suit and come down hard on offenders. I know people are saying what about the likes of Ronaldo who spent more time on the ground than on his feet, why wasn't he banned, but they have to start somewhere unluckily for Eduardo they started with him.
But as for trying to defend his actions makes me mad, he cheated and was punished. Simple

Ronaldo Irreplacable
Not taking anything away from Burnley weds night but you have to wonder if Ronaldo had still been playing for Manchester United would they have still gone down 1 nill. I personally dont think so Ronaldo had an uncanny knack of opening the defence of teams like burnley who put 11 men behind the ball trying to hold on, and that is the way to play against the top four. But a team like United should not be losing to Burnley.
Ferguson is in dream land if he thinks he can sell a player like Ronaldo (like him or loathe him) and carry on as usual. Ferguson has sold many a player when the United faithfull thought he was crazy but this time he is wrong, yes he had to sell him, but to not even try to replace him is ignorance.
A player who scores so many important goals will surely be missed and if Ferguson does not act fast it wont be just Burnley who get the better of Manchester United thus season.

Manchester United home strip
Is it just me or is the new Manchester United home strip just a blatant attempt to make money from as little effort as possible, the new shirt if you can call it new is exactly the same as the old one with a black v stripe on it. If you already own the old top what would make anyone want to spend 40 quid for an identical shirt with a stripe on it.
Not to mention the fact it looks ridiculous it looks more like a star trek outfit than a football top, a club that generates as much money as Man Utd could do a lot better, plus the fact that there is a new sponsor next season so this hideous shirt will only be worn this season
In other words if your dumb enough to buy a hideous shirt fro 40 pounds that is for one season only than you must have more money than sense

Arsenal looking good
I have to admit I was one of the doubters for Arsenal this season but as usual without spending big in the transfer market and losing big name players Arsene Wenger seems to make a quality team out of nothing. Long has Wenger had the ability to find the players of tomorrow today. We will wait and see if they have enough quality to push for the title but they looked very good against Everton on saturday. Although Everton did play like a sunday league team with a hangover. Arsenal looked slick and took their chances well Cesc Fabregas is the key and Arsenal are to win the league it is paramount he remains fit.

Opening Day Of Premiership
Thank god the premier league is back, the premiership is by far the best league in the world and I am looking forward to a season of goals galore.
Who is your tip for winning the league United, Chelsea, Liverpool maybee Man City, I think this season will see Liverpool dominate the league providing Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard can stay fit. Manchester United look a little bit light what with the departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez and their lack of movement in the transfer market.
Chelsea look very strong as usual and will push Liverpool all the way, while Arsenal will be there or there abouts, here are my predictions for the season
1 Liverpool
2 Chelsea
3 Man Utd
4 Arsenal
Golden Boot
Fernando Torres
Player of the season
Steven Gerrard
Remember you heard it here first

Ashes Madness
Cricket is a funny old game I mean one minute were struggling to save a draw in the first test agaisnt the Aussies then we win the second test convincingly and freddie flintoff is the best thing since slice bread. The third test is a washout, then in the fouth test Australia show England what there made of, maybee inspired by Andrew Strausse saying the team didn't have the aura of the Australia of old Warne, McGrath and Gilchrist etc.
Now after winning the second test and having hopes of winning the series, England have resorted to bringing players out of retirement to fashion a win at the oval and try to win back the Ashes. The metion of trying to bring in Marcus Trescothick and Mark Ramprakash cannot be doing much to the players confidence and once again the Uk media is having a field day. When will this country learn to get behind its national teams instead of slating them at every oportunity.

England
England looked a bit ropey last night all the pre-match talk in the paper was how we were going to challenge for the world cup in 2010. But it was the same old England throughout the first half. Two dreadful errors from two of capello's starters for 2010 gifted Holland two goals. The only good thing to come out of last night was Jermaine Defoes's emergence as a big game player, I am not on the bandwagon of praising Heskey and Crouch, modern football is based on speed and defoe has this in adundance we will need more displays like that from more players if England are going to triumph in South Africa
